Attaching VOLTA to your hookah

VOLTA attaches to your hookah's bowl adapter the same way a traditional bowl would. Here's the full sequence, from loaded bowl to attached device.

Assemble the heating section

1. Drop the loaded bowl into the heating chamber, screens facing up.
2. Screw the top cap down until it seats firmly. Don't overtighten.

Choose the right grommet

VOLTA ships with two silicone grommets:

• 18mm for standard hookah stems
• 16mm for smaller-diameter stems

Most modern hookahs use 18mm. If 18mm feels loose or doesn't seal, try the 16mm.

Attach to your hookah

1. Insert the silicone grommet into the hole at the bottom of VOLTA's base cap.
2. Lower VOLTA onto your hookah's bowl adapter with the grommet leading.
3. Press down firmly until the grommet seals. You should feel resistance.

Check the seal

Cover the top of VOLTA with your hand and try to draw air through the hose. If you feel resistance, the seal is good. If air pulls freely, reseat the grommet or try the other size.
