Powering VOLTA on and off

The two-step input that prevents accidental power changes.
Powering VOLTA on and off uses a two-step input. This prevents accidental power changes when the device is in your bag or near other items.
To power on
- Press the Power (O) button once.
- Quickly press O again and hold until the OLED screen turns on.
To power off
Same sequence:
- Press O once.
- Quickly press O again and hold until the screen goes dark.
If nothing happens
The battery may be too low. Connect VOLTA to a USB-C charger and wait at least 30 minutes before trying again. See the Battery & Charging articles for full charging info.
Best practice
We recommend charging the battery to 100% before each session, and at minimum to 50% before powering on. Below 50%, the device may shut down mid-session.
