A weekly clean that reaches every part the quick routine doesn't.
A weekly deep clean reaches the spots the quick routine doesn't: the vent stem, the inside of the airflow channel, and the chamber walls. The included brush kit is built for exactly this.
What you need
The brush set that came in the box:
- Metal Brush. For the heating chamber interior and the bowl.
- Stem Brush. Long, thin, for the vent stem and central airflow channel.
- Hose Brush. For your hookah hose (not VOLTA itself, but worth cleaning at the same time).
- Tweezers. For handling the bowl during disassembly.
You'll also want a dry cloth.
Steps
- Power VOLTA off and let it cool for at least 30 minutes.
- Unscrew the top cap and set it aside.
- Remove the Ceramic Bowl (Chamber) with the tweezers and remove the screens.
- Unscrew the base cap and remove the battery. Set the battery somewhere safe and dry.
- Use the metal brush to clean the inside of the heating chamber. Brush in slow circles to lift residue. Avoid scraping the heating elements.
- Use the stem brush to clean the vent stem. Run the brush through from both ends until it comes out clean.
- Wipe the top cap and the ceramic bowl with a dry cloth. For stubborn residue on the bowl, use the metal brush gently.
- Reinstall the battery, base cap, ceramic bowl, and top cap. Make sure each piece is fully seated.
Critical: do not submerge
The device body, including the heating chamber and battery module, is not waterproof. Never rinse or submerge any part of VOLTA in water or cleaning solution.
How often
Once a week for daily users. Every few sessions for occasional users. If sessions start tasting muted or off, run a deep clean.
