First-time setup: removing the insulating sheet
A one-time step before your first session. Takes 30 seconds.
Every VOLTA ships with an insulating sheet between the battery and the device. This is a safety measure for shipping. You need to remove it before your first session.
What you'll do
- Unscrew the base cap from the bottom of VOLTA.
- Slide the removable battery out.
- Peel off the insulating sheet that sits between the battery contacts and the device.
- Slide the battery back in.
- Screw the base cap back on. Make sure it's tight.
One-time only
This step is for first-time setup only. After this, you won't need to remove the insulating sheet again.
Why the tight fit matters
If the base cap isn't fully screwed on, the device can fall apart during use. Always make sure it's secure before attaching VOLTA to your hookah.
Next step
Once the insulating sheet is out and the battery is reinstalled, charge the battery to 100% before your first session.
