Connecting VOLTA on Android with the ShishaX Sync App

On Android, VOLTA pairs through our native ShishaX Sync App. The setup is straightforward.
What you need
- Android phone or tablet
- Your VOLTA, powered on
- A few minutes
Steps
- Open the Google Play Store on your phone.
- Search for ShishaX Sync and install the app.
- Open the app and accept any permission prompts (Bluetooth, location, nearby devices).
- Make sure VOLTA is powered on and nearby.
- Tap Launch in the app.
- Select your VOLTA from the device list that appears.
- If a firmware update is available, follow the prompts to install it.
Why Android needs location permission
Bluetooth scanning on Android requires location access. We don't store or use your location data. The permission is required by Android itself so apps can discover nearby Bluetooth devices.
What if Launch doesn't find my device
- Make sure VOLTA is powered on and not locked
- Check that Bluetooth is enabled in the Device Settings menu on VOLTA
- Make sure Bluetooth and location services are enabled on your phone
- Move closer to the device, ideally within 2 meters
