Adding and managing multiple VOLTAs

Updated May 18, 2026·By ShishaX Support

Pair multiple devices, switch between them, and disconnect ones you no longer use.

You can pair multiple VOLTAs to a single ShishaX account. The app keeps each one separate, with its own battery level, presets, and session state.

Adding your first VOLTA

After creating an account, the app automatically takes you to the Connect Device screen.

  1. Choose Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
  2. The app scans for nearby VOLTAs. Make sure your VOLTA is powered on.
  3. Tap your device in the Available Devices list to select it.
  4. Tap Connect to Device.

The device appears on your Home screen.

Adding another VOLTA

To pair a second (or third) device:

  1. Go to the Home tab.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the device list.
  3. Tap Add New Device.
  4. Follow the same Choose Method → Scan → Connect flow.

Switching between devices

The app has separate screens for Live, Presets, and Device Settings. Each of these screens acts on one VOLTA at a time.

To switch which VOLTA you're controlling:

  1. Open the Live or Presets tab.
  2. Tap the device dropdown at the top of the screen.
  3. Select the VOLTA you want to control.

The dropdown shows battery level and an "Active" indicator next to any device that's currently running a session.

Disconnecting a VOLTA

From the Home tab, tap the trash icon next to the device you want to remove.

  • If the device has no active session, it's removed immediately.
  • If a session is running, the app shows a confirmation: "Disconnect Device? This device has an active session. Disconnecting will end the session immediately." Tap Disconnect to confirm or Cancel to keep the session running.

Demo Mode

If you don't have a VOLTA yet and want to explore the app, tap Load Demo Devices at the bottom of the Connect Device screen. Two simulated VOLTAs ("ShishX Pro" and "ShishX Mini") appear in your device list. Demo devices don't reflect real hardware behavior.
