Reading the OLED display: every screen explained

Updated May 18, 2026·By ShishaX Support

A guide to every icon, screen state, and indicator on VOLTA's display.

The OLED display is your control center for VOLTA. Here's what you'll see across the different screens.

The status bar

The top row of the screen always shows:

  • Time (24-hour format)
  • Bluetooth icon (active when paired)
  • Wi-Fi icon (active when connected)
  • Brightness indicator
  • Battery percentage

Home screen

When VOLTA is idle and ready, you'll see:

  • PRESET label with the current preset name (default: Custom)
  • Time circle showing your selected session duration
  • Temperature circle showing the Cap and Side temperatures
  • A status line at the bottom such as "Start your session"

Time adjustment screen

Click O once and the screen switches to Time, showing the current duration with a large adjustable circle. Use < and > to change it.

Cap and Side temperature screens

Click < to open Cap Temperature or > to open Side Temperature. Each shows a large circle with the active value, adjustable with < and >.

Pre-heating screen

After you double-tap O to start, the bottom status reads "Pre-heating..." and the time circle shows a blue countdown.

Active session screen

When preheat ends, the bottom reads "Enjoy your session". The time circle counts up. Temperatures hold steady at your set values.

Paused screen

If you single-press O during the session, the bottom reads "Paused". Heating stops. Double-tap O to resume.

Other screens

  • LED Setting (3 clicks O)
  • Screen Locked (4 clicks O)
  • Device Settings (< + > together)
  • OTA In Progress (during firmware updates)

See the relevant Display Settings and App & Firmware articles for each.
